Where interpretations conflict, the received dogmatic teaching of the Eastern Orthodox Church governs this site's account. We distinguish that teaching from individual patristic opinions, questions the Church has not defined, and our own applications to technology and culture. A contemporary proposal is never presented as a new dogma.
