Photographic architectural study

A real place.
A studied reconstruction.

This Blender and Three.js architectural study follows exterior views from the canal, north, south, and east, with interior photographs of the nave, piers, dome, iconostasis, floor, and western memorial. Local photographic patches bring the observed mosaic work into modeled architecture.

The cathedral museum’s architectural account and published Parland floor drawing guide the arrangement. Interior dimensions, decorative repetitions, curved-surface texture placement, and lighting are approximate. This is an interpretive model, not a survey or photogrammetric scan.

The three crystal crosses above the iconostasis follow the museum’s restoration completed in 2026. Earlier photographs show the screen before those crosses and its central stone crest were reinstated.

Some narrow wall, pier and sanctuary-side icon fields remain unsourced or partly obscured in the available photographs. Those areas remain incomplete in the study.

Walk within the public nave, around the four piers and in front of the memorial canopy. The sanctuary and spaces beyond the observed interior are not part of the walking route. The exterior view studies the building’s massing and ornament; its urban surroundings are simplified.
